They've proved that what they say about "government doesn't work" is true, it doesn't work when one side is determined to make it unworkable for the public for which it exists. They've proved that they are there primarily to serve their Koch Bro's and other corp funders and the far right religious fanatics.

But both sides are pretty well controled by their funders so wish us luck, we need it with this current government situation.

I know it feels like forever, but it's actually been only 1 year since they took over. They still have a hole year to take care of all their constituents:
    the wealthy and the corporations.

One Accomplishment is an no brainer. They have kept Obama from squandering more money. They win my vote right there.

Ooh and when they passed the Medicare part D provision that gave millions to the pharmaceutical companies?

.... That must've gotten your keen eye for government spending Right?

Isn't it amazing to witness these partizan repubs actually believe that its Obama's failed economy as of 6 months in office, its his fault that the interest on Bush's war debts to China got harder to pay, nevermind that Bush helped in sending jobs overseas for 8 years which further decreased Government revenues to pay those debts. Those facts mean nothing to these far righter Repubs, but we gotta hand it to them, they have the Koch Bro's money in their winning corner on the propaganda campaign to fool the lemmings who will follow their repub leaders off the cliff praising 'god and USA' all the way to the next God Damn war scheduled to be with Iran. That's what the republicans are doing for us.

as a somewhat republican person i don't know if it's entirely the republicans fault or both dem's and repub's but yeah they made no provisions for the war (neither side pitched bills about how to pay for it; TO MY KNOWLEDGE if someone did my bad i didn't know). in previous wars they sold war bonds, increased tax's to pay for the war and a lot of commodities such as gas were regulated. No one did any of this or even suggested it. i think this i the first war in America where the general citizen was asked to sacrifice nothing.

Although Bush wasn't the only one who helped sending jobs over seas Clinton had a hand in that with the Free trade Agreement so i'd say their both at fault for that one

They've shown government is not only "unworkable" but a threat... the S&P downgrading was due to the failure to work together reasonably.

An "embarassment" is how I view the House.

Actually you make a good point, both parties had a hand in this, but the the blame game seems to be loudest coming from the primary party of responsibility here which is the republicans. sadly over this last decade both sides are so bought out by corp concerns and lobby's that its disgusting to pick someone out of either group to vote for.
