I adore Almodovar! I heard Penelope Cruz wasn't in his movie this time. I will still see it though. Did you enjoy "todo sobre mi madre"?

Todo sobre mi madre is still my favorite almodovar film...although i've missed a few of his recent ones. Tacones Lejanos is also good. i really like his movies but i recently watched an earlier film of his and as much as i wanted to like it, it was pretty shitty. forgot what it was called but i know Antonio Banderas was in it.

I Love Almadovar's work, but haven't the chance to see this one.
Women on the Verge and Law of Desire are my fave films.

I'm dying to see it. They play a clip from it (along with other Almodovar films) in one of the galleries in the Jean Paul Gaultier survey. (That's a must-see, too, if you're able -- it's at the Dallas Museum of Art through Feb. 12 and travels to San Francisco's de Young Museum March through August.)

I can't wait to see it. It's been a busy time of the year, so we haven't had a chance to see all of the movies we want to see. The friends of mine who saw it highly recommend it.

Saw this and enjoyed it (as much as you can enjoy what is pretty much a humorless, macabre film)...it's nice to see him stretching himself out of the melodrama genre and into horror. It's tonally similar to Franju's Eyes Without A Face (a great horror film)...I don't think it's his best (All About My Mother has that honor imho) but it's worth a look.

I haven't seen the last films by Almodóvar... Can't stand his melodramas, just don't move me any more... I love his first films though. I recently heard he is going to make comedy again. He's a master of humour... Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is his best film

It was thanks to the real jock ads that I found out about this film! It was great timing because I saw the ad just before I was heading to Chicago so I managed to see it at a cinema (hasn't been released on the big screen here in Boston).

I thought it was pretty good — I love all almodovar films too, but not his best work. I think my favourite to date has been "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown"

I think it copies a lot ideas from a French movie
Body to Body (2003) or Corps à corps (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308131/)

I have seen both moves, so I don't think it is excellent. And Robert is be killed so easily, and no suspense

I did not like it. I wanted to, but just found it weird.

Elena Anaya is drop dead gorgeous though.

I don't really consider it a thriller, but more of a grotesque push on the limits of identity.

Laberinto de Pasiones...that was the one i saw. it was horrible and i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. i would however recommend Hable con Ella..about a male nurse that "creates a relationship" with a girl in a coma. also Carne Tremula is ok..not his best film but i mostly liked it cause the lead guy was so damn sexy icon_razz.gif

    Saw it last week.
Personally, I thought it was too far fetched and awkward. The story was too complicated and the scenes that were supposed to be emotional made me laugh because of how bizarre and unrealistic the senario is.
    Sorry almodovar! Not your best

OMG!!!! This movie is one of Almodovar's best!!!! The irony of it all!

This is a more subtle and refined horror film which doesn't need a lot of blood and gore to be ghastly.

Brilliant screenplay. Great music. Phenomenal casting and acting. It all came together in this one.

I love all of his films.

Another film I love. I watched this one with my mother.
