Obama is lazy

There you have it, the next big clipped quote for political ads. He said it himself.icon_lol.gif

http://mediamatters.org/blog/201112230002Politico headlined their story "Obama: I have some Hawaii laziness," while the Daily Caller went with "Obama: "There's a laziness in me," and National Journal selected "Obama Blames Hawaii For His 'Deep Down' Laziness."
    ...
Q Okay. What's the trait you most deplore in yourself and the trait you most deplore in others?

    THE PRESIDENT: Laziness.

    Q You've lazy?

THE PRESIDENT: It's interesting, there is a -- deep down, underneath all the work I do, I think there's a laziness in me. I mean, probably --

MRS. OBAMA: If you had your choice --

THE PRESIDENT: It's probably from growing up in Hawaii, and it's sunny outside, and sitting on the beach --

    Q Sounds good to me.

PRESIDENT: Right. But when I'm mad at myself, it's because I'm saying to myself, you know what, you could be doing better; push harder. And when I -- nothing frustrates me more than when people aren't doing their jobs. Although -- sorry, I shouldn't provide two answers. The thing actually that I most dislike is cruelty. I can't stand cruel people. And if I see people doing something mean to somebody else just to make themselves feel important, it really gets me mad. But in myself, since I tend not to be a mean person, if I get lazy, then I get mad at myself.

This is not news. We already know Obama is lazy. The guy has never done any real work in his life. He doesn't even put in an 8 hour day. At least he admits he's lazy, but he has no right to call the American people lazy.

    I totally get it.

My tidiness and passion for order in my house is actually compensation for a not-so-deep down laziness.

I have in absolute truth grown indolent and indulgent since my kids got their own place and I moved to the east coast.

I suspect a lot of overachievers and type A personalities say the same thing.

we may not say it, but - we also look at others and regard THEIR efforts with the same harsh expectation.

When did he call the American people lazy?

    Define a 'real job'.

He was editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was a lawyer. Those are not real jobs? There are a considerable number of editors and lawyers, some who are on this site, who would disagree with you.

How do you know he works less than 8 hours a day?

Of course, a President whose only work record was acting in Hollywood was better, eh?

IMO, yes, however, in addition to POTUS he had served for eight years as governor. of California.

Being President of the US is not a typical eight hour a day job. Technically the job is a 24 hour responsibility. Any major event or catastrophy happening anytime day or night, the President of the US has an obligation to respond even if it means waking up at 2 AM and getting down to business.

True. As part of the budget process, the Senate is supposed to propose a budget. This one has not done so for close to 900 days.

Apparently you have not read the constitution, because it doesn't say that. I hope President Obama makes several dozen recess appointments to teach the Senate that sitting on their hands while ignoring judicial and cabinet, and other appointments does not constitute "Advice and Consent".

Apparently you don't understand that not all laws and policies are part of the constitution.
