Hey San Francisco: Have you seen this girl?

My dude and I visited San Francisco for a weekend this past January, and fell in love with the city. One day we were walking down Market Street, headed to our hotel, when we started to hear some really upbeat, fast-paced music coming up from behind us. We whipped our heads around to see where it was coming from.

The next few moments were magical.

What we saw was this: A girl riding a bicycle. But not just any girl, nor any bike. It was this tall, slender (athletic?) blonde girl, wearing her hair in long (braided?) pigtails coming out of a pink helmet. She was riding a (Pink?) bicycle that had pink streamers flying from the handlebars, a boombox attached to the back, and--get this-- one windowbox-like sidebasket on each side of her back wheel, each one holding three planted beautiful bright pink tulips. It was surreal. She whizzed past us in a matter of seconds, rocking out to her music and flying at speeds faster than the traffic around her. We would later speculate that she was most likely on a mission to save a kitty from a tree or bust some evildoer's ass.

So you San Franciscogoers.. Does this girl sound familiar to you? Have you seen (or experienced, rather) her riding down the streets of San Francisco? Do you KNOW her? My dude and I would really like to get in touch with her, so let me know!

When I read this part, I instantly thought of the movie The Crazies and that part where the lady rides by on her bike whistling like nothing was happening icon_lol.gif

My dude (Rockbiter) and I talk about the trip a lot, and what a great experience it was. Of course, that whimsical moment always comes up in the convo. It was only recently that he got the brilliant idea of posting something on here, to see if we could get in touch with her. So that's what we're trying to do icon_smile.gif

It sort of reminds me of my first business trip to the bay area. I stepped out of my rental car and almost got mowed down by an utterly ripped dude on roller blades. He was wearing nothing but very-short cut-offs and a rainbow-dyed mohawk. ...and, er, rollerblades.

In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if he was one of you guys. Palo Alto, about 20 years ago?

She sounds almost as cool as the people who go to Burning Man.

    Almost.
