I've already had TWO dates with this guy, and I'm just CRAZY about him!

Ok, so his name is Andre, and we met through gaydar (as I have with all other gay Maltese friends) and shared email addresses for msn. We have basically spent a whole month chatting, and we practically chatted almost everyday, building a good friendship in the process. He just turned 21, kinda taller than me, very fair skinned, with brown hair and soft brown eyes. Oh, and he also os in the closet, and has not done much with guys. In fact his last relationship was with a girl, that being before he knew he was gay.

So last Friday we decided to meet for the first time, as we had both just finished our exams (me on Monday, him on that Friday). At first we were both very nervous, but we quickly felt comfortable and talked as if we do on msn. We went for a nice long walk close to the sea, and then returned back to the town. We then went about the mall, and he dragged me into Franks perfume shop (after a quick look at a poster of a hot muscled guy outside the shop ) and fell in love with a perfume there. Anyway, we then went to a pub for a couple of beers each, still talking on a friendly level.

We then got out, a little tipsy, and headed for the yacht marina of the Hilton hotel. It was a very beautiful night, with all the lights from the town reflecting on the water, and the waves crashing on the beach. We walked along one side of the dock, and then went back and walked to the other side. When we reached the other end, the view of all the town lit up, and the lit up Hilton apartments was immaculate, and behind us was just the sea. We were both with our elbows on the low wall, looking out to sea, close to each other. We both looked up into each other's eyes, and that's when I knew that I was falling for him. We held hands and he kissed me on the cheek. He even asked me if he could then kiss me on the lips. Isn't that just cute?! We then stayed for about a whole half hour watching the lit up town from afar, holding each other, and occasionally kissing. <3<3<3

It was then a bit of a struggle for us to leave each other, as we had to go our separate ways at midnight. We walked back holding hands, with a couple more kisses, and a nice goodnight kiss. Then we couldn't stay holding hands because we were back amongst others, but we stared a bit into each other's eyes for sometime before parting. Whoever said that Friday 13th is a day of bad luck is seriously mistaken!!!

We then also went out yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn't have much place to me intimate. We first went and watched "What Happens In Vegas" (we both like romantic comedies), and only managed to keep our arms in contact from time to time. Then we went to a nearby garden which had an amazing view of the Three Cities and a nearby busy town, with all the ports, and lit up buildings, and the amazing red sky above it. I just wanted to kiss him badly, but a couple of tourists just didn't buzz off to leave us alone! He did managed to steal a kiss on the cheek though, and we did hold hands and each other while watching the view. Then we just went for a Sprite each (because the perfume from the day before smelt a bit like Sprite, LOL!) and made our way to the bus terminus. We again stared at each other a bit before we left.

Now I just can't stop thinking of him. He is the sweetest person ever, with good intentions, and one of those guys who the mother-in-law would be proud of... so I don't think "The Committee for the Adult-Supervision of Muttskins" has anything to worry about!

Well as a member of the committee, I think we do... that is to oversee that you don't fall for this nice gentleman tooooo quickly.

The supervision will continue.

This is so good to hear. You two sound wonderful. Ahh, to be young again.

However, let me say...you DONT have a boyfriend yet.

All those feelings are the normal flush of first meeting someone to whom you are attracted. They are a heady mix of hormones that make you feel wonderful...but also cloud your judgment.

Enjoy your feelings. Enjoy this man. Enjoy the sensuality of exploring each other. Have fun keeping a diary of your first attraction.

But realize that as you get to know him...as the first rush of hormones subsides, he might not be just the guy for you. And you might not be the right guy for him...a decision he can make. And then you're heart can be broken and you will realize the Friday the 13th was bad luck.

But on the otherhand, guys have met, fallen for each other, and paired for life. You cant know which this might be for you without letting time pass.

In short, enjoy dating this fellow. I hope you will keep us tantillized with stories of your experiences with him. But realize he is still just your first.

Congrats Matt. I say go for it. Don't have unsafe sex, but if you're falling in love, fall in love. Maybe he's not the perfect guy for you, but you shouldn't let that hold you back now. I felt the same way about my partner when I met him (on our 3rd of 4th date) and am glad now (4 years later) that I didn't pay attention to the little voice in the back of my head that was saying 'slow down'.

Wait a minute... I thought you were straight!

Just kidding. Congratulations and I hope this turns out to be something long lasting for you. Reading your account has made me all nostalgic about my first real boyfriend at about your age. And although we're not dating anymore, we're still friends 18 years later.

Aww the innocence of youth...i remember how exciting and thrilling first love can be...enjoy it, and savor it as long as you can...for most when they get older the thrill disipates and cant be duplicated...so have fun, be safe, and good luck in all of your romantic endeavors
