Had the chance to see the new MI movie last night and actually thought it was pretty good. While Tom Cruise is definitely starting to show his age a bit, he sure can pull his weight in an action movie. Some of the stunts were pretty jaw-dropping, especially the ones filmed in Dubai. Did anyone else notice some of the gay undertones between Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner? Some of the lines were pretty suspicious....like Jeremy Renner's "Next time let ME seduce the rich guy". I'd give it 3 out of 5 Jock Straps icon_lol.gif

Looks cool! And I'm not a big MI fan either.. Jeremy Rener is a good actor! He was good in 'Love Comes to the Executioner'.

it plays like a veeeery long cartoon (c/o director) its the filmic equivalent of Mcdonalds, but Paula Patton does bring the hotness.

I thought it was good and probably one of the best of the franchise. I think there was some creative camera work going on because quite often Tom Cruise looked younger than Jeremy Renner. ha ha.

Loved it. I think Cruise looked great (his calves make me drool). And Jeremy Renner has become one of my favorite actors. Just how tall is Renner? in some scenes he looks the same height as cruise and in others he looks like he's 2 inches shorter. Patton is hot hot hot and Simon Pegg is completely adorable.

Speaking of "gay" parts of the movie, did anyone else notice the shot where it was Simon Pegg's head shot, but Renner's crotch was to the immediate right of his head? No bulge to show, but I thought it was an interesting choice by the director.

I might go see it again. It was really good.

I'm sure Executive Producer Tom Cruise had some say in that icon_lol.gif

Well, a whole lot more people went to see "Mission Impossible" than "Dragon Tattoo" so clearly Tom Cruise is onto something icon_lol.gif

I'm not much of an action flick guy, but my buddies took me to see it and I loved it. I'm gonna go watch the previous 3 now to see how they stack up. Tom Cruise looks older and hotter nowicon_razz.gif

LOL. I just bought the first 3 DVDs tonight at WalMart for 7.50 each. Watched the first one and it was pretty good (if not a bit predictable to me, as I figured it out very early on in the movie), but it's amazing how far CGI and movie effects have come in 15 years. It seriously looked like it was made in the 70's (though I'm sure part of that was as an homage to the original series).

I'll be watching II and III tomorrow.

Yes, I'm sure he did. But, I seriously can't get over how good TC looked in this. He certainly doesn't look almost 50. And Renner is so hot. I can't wait to see him in The Avengers.

I actually thought he was starting to show his age a bit...but, agreed, didn't look anywhere near 50. He will always have a youthful look -- and with that kind of money, he has no excuse not to

Cruise has always been one of my favorite action characters and the fact that he does the stunt work is great!

As a Russian person, I couldn't help having a few laughs. Only two of the Russian characters were played by Russian actors (the chief of police and the nuclear scientist-dealer), all others spoke with impossible accents and in funny phrases! The destruction of the Kremlin was very well worth watching lol. Overall I enjoyed the movie a lot, it's packed with good action, and Jeremy Renner is to die for!

I loved that line, and thought it was a progressive thing to include, also, if we're going to include equality in this, the girl could've easily been the one in the computer system programming the satalite :p

This thread is old, but as a big 'lover' of Jeremy, this was my fav quote of all the movie icon_lol.gif

There are several rumors that Jeremy might be gay, even if he continued to deny, but sometimes he come out with strange sentence icon_lol.gif

JEREMY RENNER SETS THE FIRES OF A THOUSAND SLASHFICS AFLAME:
The erstwhile Hawkeye described his favorite memory from set. "Getting to play with Thor’s hammer while he stroked my bow. Oh, here we go. That’s gonna get me in trouble."
