I just couldn't stop smiling when I read this. I know the comment was intended as a joke, but this was really funny!

I'm not impressed. Hydrogen fuel cells have been around for about a century. Nothing new here.

Yes, I believe Toshiba and a few other Japanese manufacturers already have working prototypes of fuel cell powered laptops. The article mentions that Apple is applying for a patent. So I suspect that this is more about future patent trolling and suing the competition out of business.

The battery turns hydrogen and oxygen into electricity and water. The water gets inside the device and the "Genius Bar" tells you you've voided your warranty. Next?

Cool! When Apple gets round to bringing out a 4G phone, it'll have decent battery life.

A friend of mine applied for a job at the Apple Store Genius Bar on the premise that he is a smug asshole.

I think he got the job.

the fact that hydrogen is MASSIVELY volatile kinda concerns me..... (you know, the HYDROGEN BOMB) why the Sh*t would you want to put a miniaturised version of that next to your head??

however on the flip side i like forward thinking..... good on em!

    Meh, this is old technology.

Call me when they figure out to use real apples to power Apple products.
