Eh, I enjoy Pokemon games in their normal, original format.

    It concerns me...

On a related note, this is the second forum topic in a week where Nobunaga's Ambition has been discussed. Which is cool.

ok... i think i got the gist of the translation... it's about some sort of quest... and nobunaga is some kind of a spaceship.

Makes perfect sense. I do like the art for the Pokemon, though. A fuedal Japanese Pokemon SRPG.....it's just odd.

It's not bad enough we force them into tiny little cramped balls and force them to fight for our entertainment, we are using them as tools of war now?!

Its like dipping fries into ice-cream .... (which is something I tried before, not a good combination)

Love the idea of turn-based strategy game but somehow I'm not thrilled about this.

The two games I've logged 100+ hours on are Pokemon Red and Final Fantasy Tactics. So a SRPG version of Pokemon is likely going to be VERY bad for my gym time, fuck!

I wonder how many Japanese kids are going to fail history because of this.

Wow. Pokemon has definitely advanced since I last played on Sapphire.

I can't believe this hybrid. I guess they're trying to re-create the success of Kingdom Hearts.

It just feels weird though. I mean, what's next? Super Mario Brothers and Final Fantasy and Sailor Moon and Naruto all into one medley?

Well there WAS the Super Mario RPG on SNES =P. That was seriously one of my fave games ever, though.

As for the Pokemon game, it's not that surprising when you consider the Ranger games that have been coming out and the new Rumble Blast game. I think they're trying to figure out a way to refresh the franchise and draw in new crowds, while maintaining their original games as well.

This, and when it comes across the waters, I'll still buy it and try it out... just wonder what generations are gonig to be used. It looked like nothing after 4th gen was used...
