I read an article pertaining to creatine..It stated that guys make a huge mistake adding it to cold drinks...ie: protein shakes..blah ..blah...It was there contention that if the creatine wasn't totally dissolved it would simply goe through your system without being drawn into the muscle tissue where it is needed..They suggested the creatine to be mixed in warm water ...Any thoughts on this?....BUD

If it doesn't dissolve in cold water, it will certainly dissolve in your stomach. I think the real issue is how much creatine is left (wasted) in your cup when it's not fully dissolved into whatever liquid you're mixing it with.

Sometimes I use a NO pre-workout powder. And it contains creatine and other things. Since it's flavored, I just mix it with room temperature water. Seems to mix better and nothing is left behind in the cup.

I think I read somewhere that food/nutrients is more efficiently absorbed by the stomach when it's the same temperature as your body. So maybe you're on to something.

I've never thought of dissolving it in warm ater, but I'll try! what do you mix it with? I was always told not to use an acidic fruit juice (eg orange) but something milder, like red grape . . .

This is true, should only use cold water to bring down the body temp really.
