Don't know where to put this topic so i'm saying it here.

I got sideburns, but some how the beard below my chin, it is not evenly distributed so it would look ridiculous if i don't shave. I don't know why i got that weird pattern of beard.

Is there any ways to change this? I want to grow a beard along with my sideburn but this weird unevenly distributed facial hair thing keeps preventing me.

Mine's kind of like that too. I would shave off the patchy parts (like to the sides of my mouth) and just leave the parts that are have a complete stretch of beardedness icon_smile.gif

My facial hair is blond in most places, so even if it grows in thick it doesn't matter. I just keep it shaved.

I sometimes think guys with facial hair and hairy chests are super hot, but that is just because it is different for me since I don't have either.

Near my mustache part, it doesn't blend in well. and leaves a lard gap almost making my mustache pointy.

i similarly have a couple bald patches in my facial hair. been trying for about 4 weeks now to grow a beard and getting discouraged a bit. i've been doing some reading and facial hair patterns are totally genetic, though i have seen some people brushing the bare patches. this is supposed to stimulate the hair follicles into growing more (this is to take several months, brushing a few times daily). you can also use rogaine on your face if it comes to that. I make my own products so i'm going to try making a face lotion with pepper extract in it. They used to use cayenne extract to promote hair growth because it promotes blood flow to the area (which is really what it's about). Also you could try a supplement, Biotin, which has been shown to promote hair and fingernail growth.

well dude, your beard looks amazing. Even if there is quite a gap between your mustache and your beard, it still got styles. I can't get thick like that because there are many small ridiculous bald patches on my face. Your beard makes me wanna rub o_O

I'm pretty sure that's the way your facial hair will be for the rest of your life. I'm 50, and my facial hair never fully appeared. I can grow a mustache, a soul patch, and little beards on either side of my chin. My sideburns fizzle out before they get down to my earlobes, and there's only a sprinkling of random whiskers on my cheeks and neck. And, it's all a strange mix of brown, red, and gray. Some guys just aren't meant to not shave.

Some men's facial hair will continue to fill-in as they age, so time may help to solve your problem. Other men never do develop a full and symmetrical beard, especially on the cheeks, and the most they can do is have a mustache and a goatee.

My own beard is very full but not symmetrical along the neck and cheekbones. So when I wear one I shave most of my neck and keep the beard trimmed lower on my cheeks (otherwise the whiskers grow right to my eyes like a werewolf). Work with the hair you've got until more grows in.

    agree!

also, many guys would shave in a small space between the moustche and cheek hair areas; TM has that naturally...many guys would consider that an advantage in beard maintainence.

My hair grows in brown around my lower cheeks and my neck (which is my hair color), but blond around my chin and lip. It makes for a very silly look, so I usually have to forego having a beard. So I feel your pain icon_smile.gif

You're from "hicksville, usa"....surely to God your beard is the least of your troubles, lol. icon_razz.gif

When I moved to Kentucky people made fun of me for that. in Kentucky!! I still have to show people my license when I travel sometimes because they don't believe I'm from Hicksville, NY.

I'm a bit patchy too, under the corners of my mouth and up near my cheek it's not as thick as everywhere else.

Although the corner of my mouth has blond hairs hahaha

    thebeard.jpg
I shaved it off a month ago and let it regrow (preferred having a beard) so this is only one months growth

I very much share your frustration. I can grow a mustache, but the beard turns out irregular at best. Furthermore, most of my beard grows on my neck instead of along the jaw and chin. It just looks so tacky! As a result, I typically stay clean shaven even though it makes me look far younger than my real age.

Here I am at 52, already starting to pluck gray hairs out, mostly from my mustache. My neck totally shaved, and my cheeks, keeping my beard at about a 4-week length, but my mustache at 6 weeks. I sculpted to disguise the patchy areas.

    PA005-1.jpg

Then 4 years later, turning gray, the artist who painted this saw me this way. (Not a good pic, a better one of this portrait is on a computer my ex-BF still has)

I can only manage to grow a Fu-Manchu looking goatee/mustache thing.

I tried to grow out a just chin beard last summer, but it my co-workers kept calling me "the Evil Twin" (Star Trek Mirror Universe reference) and my boss gave me enough flak over it I shaved it off, lol...

Trollileo saidI have the exact same problem. My "beard" looks so gross, patchy, unfilled, and disconnected. What's worse is that I look far worse without facial hair.

    #FirstWorldProblems

I disagree. Some guys (like you) look cute with that type of facial hair. In fact, I often wish my beard were thinner believe it or not.
