If you live in a place with cold weather (such as Canada), you may be familiar with this brand - Canada Goose. It has definitely taken over Canada (possibly US, and some European countries) in a sweep, rising to the status equivalent to iPhone (in the world of smartphones), in the world of winter jackets.

Personally I like them, and some of my friends absolutely hate them (since they are so popular), and they are ubiquitous that my friends call them uniform..

Who owns a Canada Goose jacket? Are they really "The only one you will ever need"?

It doesn't really get cold enough (at least not for long) where I live to own such a jacket. However, they look quite nice from what I've seen.

Too bad actual Canada geese are vicious and annoying birds!

Really? When I lived in the States, the geese actually liked me icon_smile.gif One even came up and sat on my lap once while I was reading outside.

Yeah, it also doesn't get cold enough here for a winter jacket. Though sometimes I use the $10 one I bought at Steve and Barry's about 5 years ago... lol

I have one but I live in Montreal so you NEED one.

But yes, it definitely became this big trend especially in Paris.

JustThisOnce saidLol I bought three for around$1300 on sale but I dont like the white one, gets too dutty easily

Also if you are getting it for less then 400 it might be a fake, A lot of ppl are jus getting fakes with the goose Canada logo but no actual goose canada parka

my bf's mom works at the factory, she gets a limit of 2 jackets per year at $200. "faaaaaaaactoooory" which means that they make the jackets where she works lol, theres 0 chance of her getting a fake model. The white one gets dirty fast but every other color seems too popular so i went for the least popular one lol

Haha, we can't kill them here either! Or at least not here in Virginia, because this is part of the migration path.

I got one. I bought mine from a friend who bought it then realized it was too big. His loss, my gain. They are crazy popular, but I don't care. Its warm!

I've seen them, but didn't know they were called 'Goose jackets'. Personally, I think it's a bit feminine-looking (having fur around the hood) and would never own one.

We should start eating them. Let's make a distinction between thanksgiving and xmas by eating them for thanksgiving out of thankfulness they're about to fuck off southward icon_wink.gif

I like the red one..It seems to be a longer version of the one that is only wast length..

here in Miami,Florida the jacket would collect dust in my closet, until i go skiing, other wise it would not get much use here..lol

I am often in canda during the winter with my job..I should go shopping one day and try one on..thanks for the tip of a new warm coat..

Everyone in Sweden has one. They appear to be more luxury models than anything I ever saw in Canada. I definitely think they're overhyped, the equivalent to North Face and UGG boots in 2005.

    Timeless and classic.

I have a great wool overcoat as my winter jacket and that thing keeps me warm, a lot of guys in NYC have one as black is the standard issue color during winter/ fall.

    I agree! Nasty birds!

I've told before how some dunder-heads call them "Canadian geese" and how when driving home one day with my BF (who is more easily annoyed by the bad grammar and slang of the locals than even I am) in the passenger seat we happened upon a gaggle of them in a ball-field, eating and shitting on everything not moving.
My BF rolls down the window and instead of yelling "HONK" like I thought he would yells "GO HOME!"
