I know that shaving could cause ingrown hairs. It's happened to me a few times when I shave. Lately I haven't been shaving my pits (it's been a very long time) but I still get the occasional ingrown hair. I was wonder what causes this if I don't shave? Can it be prevented? It's really annoying. Do any of you guys get ingrowns and not shave your pits? I think this is a little weird. Thanks for any feedback.

Sometimes your hair curls before making its way out, creating a ingrown hair. They suck! Apply rubbing alcohol

I'm using something called Tend Skin. Dunno if you guys every heard of it or used it. It's pretty good with getting rid of ingrowns. I used it when I shaved. I stopped shaving because I found the ingrowns annoying but here I am still with ingrowns and I haven't shaved. LOL!

As for the shaving cream, are all of them the same? How long do you put the stuff on for and do you do it while showering or before/after?
