Oops, Dead Thief

The facility pictured below is an old factory I closed during an off-shoring process a few years ago. A body, or actually parts of one, was found on the roof a few days ago.

Ever microwave an egg? The egg explodes very quickly.

Electricty still flows to the plant from a 148,000 volt section of the grid. At one time I plant drew a load of 7 MW. It seems the thief was attempting to steal copper cabling. He sliced into a conductor pack that connects two sets of transformers on either side of the building.

They identified the man by his gold teeth. The family wasn't quite sure they wanted to claim the body of the missing man.

I don't see anything. And why are you so delighted about a minor thief being fried in a horrible way? I hold human life a bit more important than some amount of copper.

He's one of the more interesting posters on RJ, although I would guess he doesn't enjoy "people". He's a damn good writer though. He seems unique, which is pretty cool to see on here. Having read his posts, he's fairly consistent about politics, money, crime and guns. And this story is a nominee for the Darwin awards for sure.

"some amount of copper," yes, this time. But what are the odds this was his first and only crime?

Natural selection by stupidity and poor character do not garner much sympathy for their families (who are often perceived -perhaps unfairly - as complicit or enablers).

My sympathies go to those who grieve for him, but they should not expect more.

Sorry, but where did he say, or even seem delighted that the man was killed? He was just delivering news that he thought was interesting. Don't be so sensitive.

But what is your view about this incident? You've talked about me, now what have you to say about HIM?

News & Politics as our ArtDeco described. Perhaps the electrocution of a thief is not very newsworthy, but nonetheless, I posted it.

Apparently had he held human life as a bit more important he would not have fried himself.

Oh that's fine Curious. I have had my sanity questioned on numerous occasions. I think the only one insane in this sceanrio however is now dead.

Someone wanted photos. I do question their sanity.

This is a horrible story. Basically, a guy gets the death penalty for petty theft! Obviously he was not a very bright person, but nobody deserves to die like this! His poor family! icon_cry.gif

Well Art_Deco, the guy was not the only one to lose his life at that place. One mile to the north is a waste water treatment plant. A drunk stumbled off into the aeration basins one night and ended up growing to the size of a cow.
