Something is troubling me .. I dont know what it is.. since a few days I have been feeling this heavy sense of sadness .... I find it difficult to focus.... but I dont understand why.... nothing out of the ordinary has happened to me, everything is normal and fine around me, in fact, things are well... !! ..yet.... I cant shake this heavy feeling of loss, grief, and unhappiness.... . is anybody feeling this too.. does this ever happen to you ?

Once I felt unexlpained sadness for weeks.... later I found out somebody whom had died a very sad death had been following me around.... and the overwhelming grief had stuck to me... ( I tend to suck up feelings pretty easy.. ) ... could it just be that now?

You're depressed and you think it's due to ghosts. You should seek professional help, not the ramblings of an internet forum.

I was actually about to say that usually happens to me. When I get all sad and depressed out of no where I am usually feeling something in the "force" I guess. I won't go to into detail because this 6th sense of things spooks me from time to time as to how ON it can be!

It's called depression. It happens to everyone from time to time. It's due to the chemicals in your brain being out of whack. It is certainly not caused by dead people following you around. If it doesn't go away by itself you will need to speak to a doctor. In the meanwhile make sure you exercise, go out in the sun, stay active, reduce stress, get good sleep and hang out with friends.

I've been down that last couple of days, too.

It may sound odd, but I know that sometimes - and I don't mean anything mystical by this - but weather changes (temperature and/or barometer) and even phases of the moon changing can cause me sinus headaches. Usually before something like that I will start getting a bit depressed. It's actually physiological.

This isn't the same as allergy problems or sinus infections.

This could be part of your problem.

Personally, I think all gay men should have some counseling for at least a period of time. You should get some counseling for this.

    Get help.

From G-d, from a good friend, from a counselor.

Just do it quick so it doesn't become permanent.

I had something like this happen once. An odd and pervasive sense of mounting anxiety for nearly an hour....then the ambulance pulled up next door and took a man away who it turned out later had a massive panic attack and a subsequent cardiac event.

I agree those things do happen too.. I ruled out all of those reasons in this case...

You nailed it... its gone again now btw.... I might find out later what actually happened....

My cousin also had this kind of thing happen to her when she bought a new house.. they later brought the dog to the house and the dog went strangely haywire... there's stuff you can't always explain the normal way

from what i have been reading about you, you seem to take things too seriously and very emotional. You need a man to balance you, I mean a guy who can help you deal with these emotions and bring out the happiness in you. Hope you find him soon.

I do laugh a lot.. all day actually... but I hold certain superstitious beliefs about these things... like sixth sense type stuff... I'm not sure if you are supposed to fight it off rather than carry the burden

Your mentioning superstitions reminded me of a phrase from a comparative religion course a long time ago about "superstitions no longer enslaving the mind" I think from the Old Testament. Googled the term and this is one link that came up that discusses possibly harmful superstitions.

    http://skepticaljew.blogspot.com/2010/01/superstition-and-jewish-beliefs.html

Also googled superstitions harmful and saw some links that might be helpful.
