Nothing is implied about the canine (male or female) qualities of said candidates, but it's...wait for it...Santorum's turn. He was third place in Iowa.icon_eek.gif

Look at all those peaks with Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Paul and Gingrich.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1211/70979.htmlMARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — At long last, Rick Santorum’s moment has arrived.

After hitting all of Iowa’s 99 counties and grinding through hundreds of town halls and meet-and-greets, the former Pennsylvania senator is finally the GOP flavor of the month — the candidate who’s mobbed by the media horde, who speaks to overflow crowds, who gets segments dedicated to his rise on cable news shows.

I just read a couple articles about this Santorum's rise from single digits up to 15%, Romney now has 24% to 22% for Paul, but all the attention is going to anyone but Paul, its like the entire Mainstream Media is avoiding even mentioning his name.

Santorum is the farthest right of any of the candidates and must be knocking on lot of church doors to be getting this sudden burst. Oh the blissfull ignorance of the Christian Bible thumpers that it takes to back such a bigoted idiot. Can you imagine him winning the presidency considering his background of pandering to the Christian Right Fundi's,theCorporate Lobby and the Neo Con/Israeli Lobby pushing for war. ?

talk about dividing the US citizens, there'd be a divide between the progressives and the conservatives as far as the east is from the west. These repubs running this time around are truely a scarry group, imagine the damage to civil rights, education, the EPA, Social Security, the energy dept. and etc. if he and his version of gods will were in control of the US Gov.

To compare any of the GOP candidates to "dogs" is to insult our loyal animal friend the dog.

People don't watch Shakespeare any more :-(

    It's from Hamlet of course!

    Actually, Shakespeare just popularized it:

    http://stuntdog.wordpress.com/2009/02/27/origin-of-the-saying-every-dog-has-its-day/
    A dogge hath a day.
    [1545 R. Taverner tr. Erasmus' Adages (ed. 2) 63]

Let Hercules himself do what he may, The cat will mew, and dog will have his day.
    [1600-1 Shakespeare Hamlet v. i. 286]

s.v. Fevrier, Euerie dog hath his day.
    [1611 R. Cotgrave Dict. French & English]

Dogs, ye have had your day; ye fear’d no more Ulysses vengeful from the Trojan shore.
    [1726 Pope Odyssey V. xxii.]

How changed for Marat, lifted from his dark cellar!‥All dogs have their day; even rabid dogs.
    [1837 Carlyle French Revolution III. i. i.]

Young blood must have its course, lad, And every dog his day. [1863 C. Kingsley Water Babies ii.]
‘She could be his sister.’ ‘No way—not with a face like that.’ ‘Well, every dog deserves his day.’
    [1978 ‘M. Craig’ Were He Stranger x.]

Some of them sound more cattish than bitchy.icon_lol.gif
