Hey, I was wondering if anyone does rollerblading for cardio and how do you find that compared to other types of cardio? Is it easy to keep your heart rate constant, below a certain threshold?

I don't know what its cardio value is, but it's a lot better than sitting on the couch and is a hell of a lot of fun. I go rollerblading a couple of times a week at a nearby park and its definitely worthwhile even if it's not the maximum cardio workout you could get.

It's a great way to get in your fat burning or cardio. And because of how you basically kick off from leg to leg you work different muscles than you normally use on the cardio equipment in the gym.
You use more stabilizer muscles such as abductors and abductor muscles in the upper legs. Plus the medial and lateral muscles in the lower legs. It's also great for getting that nice round firm ass too.

Notice how skaters tend to have great legs and butts?
I rest my case.

You can use rollerblading for cardio. I think it easier with a heart rate monitor. I have a Polar one. In order to reach cardio I have to skate pretty dman quick and keep my legs moving the whole time. If I don't it would be anaerobic exercise.
