This show was the only show that I watched faithfully all this year
    I thought it was fantastic
and I am sorry to have it end for the year

I was also alittle worried about Ryan Murphy completely scraping the Harmon family plot and the location for season II of the show

Ryan Murphy has stated that he let everyone know the location of the Next season's show in the Penultimate episode .... So Where will it be?

Fans have been shocked to learn that the second season of American Horror Story will not be centered on the beloved murder house. Now the question is, where the heck will the second season take place? Ryan Murphy recently revealed where we could find a clue, and now we’ve got a list of possible locations!
After learning that a clue to the location of season two could be found in ‘Birth’ we watched it scene by scene to hunt it down! We came up with not only one clue but six clues! Some seem more plausible than others but with Ryan Murphy you can’t rule anything out! Check out our possible clues below in order of appearance on the show.
    1) At the start of the episode Constance is passed out on the couch while an episode of Newhart is playing in the background. Newhart is based in a small town in Vermont centered on an inn.
    2) Florida seems to be one of the more obvious places where season 2 could be located. It is mentioned more than once in the show that Vivien wants to move there.
    3) Fairvale, California the location of the novel Psycho. During an argument with Constance, Chad jokingly refers to Norman Bates Jr. Bates is the main character of the novel Psycho which is based out of small motel in Fairvale California. Bates suffered emotional abuse as a child and develops dissociative identity disorder which later leads him to become a serial killer.
    4) A Prison or an Asylum is mentioned by Billie Dean as the place where you find the most traumatic negative force. However, these are general places and don’t give us any idea of an actual geographic location.
    5) Massachusetts also seems to be an obvious choice. When Ben brings Vivien home from the psych ward there is a close up of their MA license plate.
    6) North Carolina is the location of the ghost colony that Billie Dean mentions to Violet and Constance.

I kind of hoped they would go with a completely different setting when I first heard that they were doing a second season. Not that I didn't love Murder House, but learning it's backstory was one of the most compelling parts of the show, and they obviously couldn't do that again in season two. I also think that was a good ending for the Harmon family. Happy, but still really creepy with a twist.

I thought Florida was the obvious choice, but I like North Carolina as the site too. It would help make Billie Dean's story more than just random story fodder.

The first thing I thought of was the prison Denis O' Hare was sent to, but Ryan Murphy did say if they brought people back from Season One that they would play completely different characters.

Massachusetts or Vermont would make for very creepy locales.

    You know what?
You might be right .... when he was speaking to Jessica Lange he specifically stated that he was being transferred out of State
Hmmmm ... why would he say that unless it's going to be a location change .... EH? icon_cool.gif

How about simply next door in Constance's house? If the kid is suppose to be the anti-christ that the house wanted to make, then maybe the whole 'ghosts being trapped' will follow him in whichever new home he lives in?

Can't be. They've stated they were done with all of these characters and their stories. Plus, I kind of liked the ending just the way it was.

I like the prison idea, but I think Ryan Murphy said that the location was talked about in the second to last episode, and that was the one before. A prison setting would be cool for a horror story though.

The prison/asylum concept is pretty good....but working up a season around the Roanoke Island colony mystery pretty much writes itself.

I don't care where it takes place as long as Jessica Lange is still in it!

An "Inn", "Prison" or "Asylum" would be FANTASTIC.

I love horror stories and have wanted to watch this but never was able to. I will have to catch it on Hulu (hopefully it's there) sometime.

from what I've read its an Asylum in the 60s run by Catholic nuns, Jessica Lange is the nun in charge
sounds like it's going to be creepier, can't wait
