gym_business saidHey RJers, I need some advice. So I reached my goal for 2011 about one month early... YAY!!!! I wanted to be 220 by the end of Jan/ 2012, but it turns out I'm 225 (as of last Thursday). While I am elated about this, I am fearful now because I don't have another current goal in mind... and I'm afraid I'm going to lose motivation as I worked out today and thought "What's the point I've already reached my goal".... I'm just wondering if other guys out there (who are trying to get big/ haved tried to get big) have had this problem. Thank you!
I have a sideways answer.
When I was a personal trainer and someone had a weight only goal.....I would usually ask "So you want to gain 10 pounds and you don't care HOW you do it?" Meaning, you can eat badly...gain 10 pounds and call it a day.
But that probably is not how you did it. I would think that you gained lean muscle yes? Perhaps your next goal looking forward might be some sort of relation between additional weight gain and say body fat percentage. Or gaining weight (if that is what you choose to do) but keeping your waist size the same.
Just a thought. Happy New Year!
