You should kick your bf in the baws for leaving you alone for new year.
Mine partied elsewhere, but only because we were both invited to two parties, and he chose one and I chose another. icon_lol.gif

    Quite the Grinch aren't you.

You need to live in the moment and appreciate every minute of every day.

It's all about what you focus on. If you focus on the negative, that becomes your reality. So Zen of me in 2012. icon_smile.gif

I'm just glad that all the holiday treats will soon be gone. It's wrecking havoc on my 'healthy lifestyle'.

Hell no, me too! I like the partying and getting together with people. I can do without all the commercialism crap and watching people spend money they don't have to buy stuff that they people they love don't even need.

YES, you are the only one. WOW, what makes people like you become this way? Did Santa not bring you anything for Christmas one year? Did your bf dump you on New Years? What is the problem? Dude, you are too handsome to be so grumpy

People do go bonkers for what was suppose to be an enjoyable time of year. Every year as Christmas approaches, I become very glad I was born a Jew.

A lot of other stresses (family, finances, work, tragedies, etc.) seem to all collide at this time of year. Some people do seem like they go off the deep end. Others take it all in stride. I guess it depends on how we handle these stresses.

I just try and make the best of everything.

Although I really like the holidays and the holiday celebrations, this year I've had quite a bit going on during the past few weeks as well. I'll be glad to get back into my regular routine again icon_smile.gif

Contrary to popular belief, I actually enjoy the simplistic significance of the season. I just despise the way most selfishly abuse the holidays and try to condemn me for not participating.

If you don't think people "go mental" during the holidays, take a part time retail job. Working retail, you get the brunt of not having the "perfect gift" in stock, have to try and help the last-minute shoppers - who are clueless and just need a gift, but can't decide. And the worst: people who stay after the store has closed - as if I want to stay late just to help you.

That's really heart breaking. If I could give you a Christmas hug every year I would.
