all the new Marvel movies; and how they're setting up for the avengers, what with Iron Man, The Hulk, and fairly soon a Captain America movie.

Also, i think i was the only one who got psyched when Banner's blood fell on Stern. Yay Sh'mballah!

and the cameos to keep the Marvel universe together is pretty cool. Too bad Toby doesn't want to be Spider-man anymore, hed've been good in the Avengers.

in short; I'm a dork. Discuss.

discuss your dorkishness? I'd rather not betray my own Dorkitis infection.

And yeah, Iron Man was surprisingly good, given that I hated most of the earlier Marvel adaptations. I grew up to Marvel and DC comics and it's kinda nice to finally see them onscreen (though I can't help but feel slighted at deviation from the comic versions)

    Is this my age talking?

I'm just not interested in the slew of special-effects packed super hero films. In fact, down here it was hard to find anything interesting (subjectively speaking) around Indiana Jones, Meteor, and Iron Man. Thank goodness for Sex in the City, 88 Minutes,A Woman with Power, Until Death, etc. (Not sure if these titles are the same in the U.S.)

For me, these computer-enhanced movies are just like cartoons.

I stopped reading comics around the age of 11 due to boredom. Fast forward 35+ years and adults are watching movies based on comics. Try and find a movie that appeals mainly to "adults" is nearly impossible these days. The average movie seems to appeal to someone with the mindset of a hormone driven 16 year old. Sigh.

"Iron Man" wasn't bad, the Spider Man movies have been mixed, I refuse to watch the Incredible Hulk movie. The next Batman movie looks moderately interesting. In the trailer Heath Ledger looks like a very disturbing "Joker".

Too much of a good thing. It seems like every other movie is a comic book adaption. I would prefer a little more variety; too bad musicals and westerns are thought to be old hat. On the other hand Hellboy II is coming out....

As much as I like them I wish Marvel would slow the heck down with all of their movies.

And I wish they'd be more selective with what franchises get put on the screen. The Hulk? Electra? Really?

Iron Man was good, have yet to see the Hulk... there were several others that i did enjoy, the X Men, Punisher, Daredevil, and yes Elektra... the directors cuts are FAR better... (I HATED the Spiderman films, high drama garbage... and Ghost Rider REALLY irked me cause i hate Nicholas Cage).

I hope that The Black Widow (who was supposed to get her own movie a while ago) does appear in Avengers. After Elektra she's the deadliest woman in the Marvel universe.

(Elektra is my favorite character of all the Comic books in HISTORY... she's even tattooed on my arm)

Hmm, as a certified Marvel Zombie, I have been disappointed with a lot of the Marvel based movies. (Not that many of the DC ones have been much better. The first Batman, Superman II...hmmm, that's about it!)

I haven't seen Iron Man yet. Will skip the Incredible Hulk..didn't see the last one...but look forward to the Avengers. I'll probably skip the Wolverine movie, even though it's Hugh Jackman....mmmmm...because I'm sick of Wolverine's prominence. Where's a good Storm movie not starring Halle Berry of course!

X Men 2 and Batman Begins are the two I really like, the others fall short with too much guy/girl drama.

Where is the GREEN LANTERN movie? He was the pimp.

or an adaptation of the greatest superhero cartoon where there was the Hall of Justice and Legion of Doom. Apache Chief, Giganta, Hawkman and Hawkwoman, Superman, Batman/Robin, Lex Luthor, Manta, Solomon Grundy, Catwoman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Bizarro, Wonder Twins....the list goes on.

I have been asking myself that very same question for quite some time!

On a totally different note, I would love to see a Pirates of Dark Water movie icon_smile.gif

I'll tell you one I want to see but am terribly nervous about...the Watchmen movie. That series was a work of art and the promo shots they released a couple of months ago were...well, anxiety inducing.

    I read comics, I have a $20+ a week habit.

I didn't see Iron Man or Hulk yet. The events in Civil War really don't have me liking Iron Man as a character right now. I'm more of an X-Men fan when it comes to Marvel.

I finally got around to watching the first Spiderman last year and could not believe how bad it was - meandering, nonsensical - what a hot mess.
