In a stunning statement during CNN interview with Dana Bash today, Ron Paul states Santorum's record proves he is too liberal. Cites his record on increasing big government and out of control spending. Interesting...icon_neutral.gif

I think he is partly referring to throwing away money on military waste like starting wars we can't win and maintaining huge troop presence all over the world... which Santorum advocates, as do the other Repuplican candidates except for Paul.
(And yes, Obama is guilty is perpetuating this wasteful system too.)

The Republicans claim to be against government spending, but what about the billions we pour down the drain on the excessive military industrial complex -- somehow that money doesn't count? A perfect example is how George W. Bush kept the massive Iraq war spending (all wasted) "off the books," so he didn't have to count it in the budget deficit.

Any fiscal "conservative" who advocates things like defunding Planned Parenthood or PBS (both minuscule expenditures) but won't touch military spending is just shoveling a load of sh*t.

    Santorum is too liberal?!

That just shows you how far to the extreme right-wing fringe the Repub party has lurched!

Barry Goldwater was correct when he warned 30+ years ago of the danger of allowing the religious right crazies to take over the Repub party.

His worst nightmares have come true!

Calling Ron Paul a religious right crazie is bad enough, but supporting that with a quote from Barry Goldwater... Where do I start? Santorum is a religious right crazie. Barry Goldwater, if he were still alive, would have supported Ron Paul. And the criticism of Perry had to do mainly with the latter's voting record on fiscal and economic matters, as per the abovelinked ad.

Ron Paul isn't a religious right crazy?
    Nice try at rewriting history!
You've obviously been fooled by Paul's bullshit attempt at rebranding himself.
Check out his words on the thread below and realize the way you've been lied to and manipulated by Paul's dishonest bullshit.
