Like seriously. I only discovered it 2 months ago and I can't stop eating it. I like the texture especially. What are cool things I can do with cottage cheese?

I love cottage cheese also. Personally I prefer the texture of small curd, but I won't pass over large curd if that's all I can get. Cottage cheese is also one of the foods where I feel the store/generic brand is often better than some name brands. Can't do the nonfat stuff, though, because it's so tasteless! I'll take the caloric hit with 2%.

A lot of people, including my parents, eat it with fruit. Much like cereal, you can slice and dice any fruit of your choice and add to the cottage cheese. Chunks of pineapple, peaches, and blueberries seem to be most common. I like blueberries myself.

I've also heard that cottage cheese is digestible for some people who are lactose intolerant. Of course, it simply depends how severe one's intolerance is. One of my "intolerant" friends enjoys cottage cheese quite a bit and has never had any problems.

I love the big curd 4% fat variety from Knudsen (which freaks me a bit because they belong to Kraft Foods).

I love it on kettle cooked potato chips, or right out of the tub. I can easily eat 16oz in one sitting.

Add pepper too. Cottage cheese always looks good with a sprinkle of pepper on it.

I had a friend put it in lasagna to serve as the actual "cheese." He said it tasted ok. I'm pretty adventurous, but I stick with pineapples, peaches, and tropical fruit with my cottage cheese.

    Thats not nice.

yourname2000 saidAnd you can stick a few tablespoons in some plastic wrap, and then fuck it like a pocket pussy.

Or add in fruit...fruit is good, too. (of course, you can't fuck it, but it's better tasting.)(lol)

I actually make a really good veggie dip -- Whir it up in the blender with a packet of dehydrated vegetable soup mix.

I got the recipe when I bought my first immersion blender. - I make it for parties and pot lucks and people go crazy for it. Serve it with veggies or chips or crackers - whatever.

They have no idea that it's only 2 ingredients. - It tastes like a sour cream based dip - but much healthier.

I like it with fruit and maybe a little crunchy cereal on top for breakfast or lunch.

You can use it in lasagna in place of ricotta.

Add fresh herbs and chopped veggies.

I also like, but hardly ever eat, those Jell-o salads that have cottage cheese in them. Talk about the fifties!

    I loves mah cottage cheese.

Good for casein too - I usually eat a good 200-250g (around a half pound or so) worth before going to bed.

love me some cottage cheese, its great, usually go with 1% but sometimes will splurge for the creamy 4% whipped from Axelrod who kicks Friendships ass.

also good to mix in with your pasta for the extra protein

I love cottage cheese with pineapple. To given it some crunch I add almonds. Or I roll a couple of spoonfuls in a piece of ham. Its sweet and salty plus you get the extra protien.

I grew up eating it with applesauce... I still love it like that. Also, some canned peaches or pineapple with some grated cheddar cheese and a dollop of mayonnaise on top.. not the healthiest, but still good!

I love the Knudsen Low Fat. I could stand there and eat it right out of the carton (if nobody is looking!)

I love cottage cheese with blueberries (frozen--fresh blueberries are too precious to be eaten even with CC... they must only be savored alone!)

Microwave like a 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries until they are just cool (~30s.) then add a cup of cottage cheese and mix! Sometimes I also add a handfull of sliced almonds too. Try out different types of blueberries--I love it when the whey from the CC mixed with the juices from the blueberries.

I have this like everyday, and I'm hungry now thinking about it...
