I barely make it to the gym as I'm too poor to afford a continuous membership plan. I love skating but it costs a small fortune to maintain that also.

So whats free is jump roping. Is it possible to get big pecs and a six pack from jump roping?

    Do you have a floor?

Crunches will help you a long way.

    IMO jump-roping won't do you sh*t

Somewhere I heard that jump roping burns twice as many calories as other forms of cardio. Not sure if I believe it, but boxers sure do look fine...

Uhm, eat right, run, do push ups, sit ups, and pullups if you can find a bar to pull yourself up with. Do pushups on the ground first, then when that is too easy, put your feet up on a chair. If you can find or use an exercise ball, put your feet up on that, or your hands.
The running will help you lose weight, and the other exercises will help you build up muscle. You need to lose fat to see your abs. You need to have abs to see them once you've cleared the fat away.

Also, see any of the 200 other posts about this on Real Jock already.

Sorry, I was a little too quick on the response there. What I said still applies, but doing Jump-roping will help to lose fat. It won't get you abs, but it will help you lose fat. If you have abs already, then jump away!

OMG! Jump Roping is the BEST and it KICKS ASS!! Um, will not develop your chest though.
Like Mman19 said, if you got a floor you can do crunches AND push ups.
