I guess that a similar topic has already been posted before, but I realy don't care...so if you ever have to live outside the country where you were born, which country would it be an why?

to start by myself, I would choose Spain because is an extremely beautiful place, and the people were genuinely kind and accepting. there are a lot of handsome guys (specially in Catalunya) I like the culture, the gastronomy, the weather and the people of this country.

    and you?

I would love to live in Reykjavik, Iceland, for a year, that would be long enough to become fluent in the language and experience the country. However, I don't think I'd want to deal with the dark winter for any longer than that.

It I had to move permanently I would probably go to Vancouver, Canada.

Iceland apparently has kick ass hot springs to keep you warm throughout the cold winters.

So does Japan. I love hot springs icon_biggrin.gif

That they do, the most famous being the Blue Lagoon, but you can even find them out in the wilderness.

Australia or Italy -- scenery, culture, lots to see and do, beautiful countryside. I think those are the only two places I'd seriously consider outside of Northern California.

Why Andorra? It's like the size of my back yard. And I don't even have a back yard...

For one thing a lot of people in the world have no idea it even exists. Even if they've heard of it, they're quick to think it's perhaps a region of Spain or France when it's neither. Second, it would be cool to live in a Catalan-speaking country without the Catalan nationalism. And third, it just looks so pretty!

Italy, France, UK, Ireland or Switzerland, maybe Germany. icon_smile.gif I loved those countries when I visited (with exception of Ireland, but I haven't been there) so I wouldn't mind working and living there for a few years.
