Edit: I'm home for the summer and can't renew my old lease and in search of a condo to rent out with someone for September!

I've exhausted my search, so I'm reposting this thread! Thanks.

I think I would gladly room with just about any of the guys on here from Toronto. I swear Ontario has some sort of covert "cute gays" recruitment program going on and the epicenter is TO. Holy fuck.

Easyroomate and viewit are incredibly difficult sites to browse - thank you, though! icon_biggrin.gif

They have the best listings and if you don't mind living with a university or college student you can aslo browse through university and college website housing page and Toronto has way too many of them

    Ryerson University
    University of Toronto
    York University
    Humber College
    Seneca College
    George Brown College

you can also look into Sheridan College page.

No problem, it's how I found my place in Calgary. I love how you can see how walkable the area is.

Most of the ads on there are similar to CL and Kijiji and stuff, but it's definatley useful.

It seems like you aren't looking for condos for rent but instead want people with condos in Toronto on the forum to take you in as a roommate.

I don't think it's going to be a worthwhile effort, since it's an international forum, and of the Toronto members, only some will be in condos, and most won't be looking for roommates.

Your best bets are the websites already suggested, whether they be easy to browse or not. Apartment hunting is work. I might even dislike it more than moving.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm looking for. But I'm also open to finding a roommate to find a place together in the city.

I'm not only looking for a condo, I guess I just said condo because my last lease was in a high rise.

I figured since lot's of guys here were from Toronto I would try...I'm still using all the other sites and it's been a pain, I know!

WhyWhySee saidHave you made a 'looking' ad for yourself?

    Yeah, on EasyRoomate and CL...

No luck so far - different budgets, different areas. I've still got a couple months, so I'm sure I'll find something.

I found that the nicer and bigger buildings had waiting lists, and when I went to them over a month before the day I wanted to move in, they ALL said they had been taken far in advance by people on the waiting lists. I had no idea there were waiting lists to get on.

If doing it again, I would call up preferred places just to add myself.

I got in where I am now because the unit had just opened up because of some unusual circumstance. Maybe the last guy diedicon_eek.gif

I was originally at Yonge and College (on Carlton) and I didn't renew my lease when I went home for the summer. I went to go see another place a few days ago in the building next to it and the next day it was snatched up. I'm getting impatient. icon_evil.gif
