i have to mail a 26 pound package back to the USA seller, about the size of a pullman suit case.

wondering what's the cheapest place to use for the return: USPS, fed-ex, UPS.....who?

    *facepalm*
It's not a matter of opinion. Go on line and check the rates. Usually USPS will be cheapest. And strangely, sometimes priority mail is cheaper than parcel post.

USPS is cheaper but not as reliable as UPS. USPS will try to upsell you, expecially if you want insurance. UPS is a good choice, though not cheaper, if you want to insure anything over $100. The first $100 value is automaticaly insured. UPS is also trackable.

The best thing to do, if you can, is to find someone who has a UPS pickup at work and will send the package and let you pay them. Then you will get somewhat better rates.

After more thatn 20 years in the mail order business, I think that "cheaper" is a relative term. Timely, safe arrival is important.
