Kel-Tec has finally released the first batch of production 14 round tactical shotguns. It has been a long wait to acquire one. Must go pick it up north of Atlanta tomorrow. I acquired Hornady Superformance 2-3/4" oo buck shells for it today. These are high-velocity 1600fps shells. Can't wait to get to the farm and see how she performs.

Fortunately this is legal in California. Imagine that!

    That is true...

And with a 14 round high power shotgun you can fight off the zombie apocalypse, ring in the new year, or heck just go down to the mall and open fire into the crowd... icon_rolleyes.gif

Not sure of that particular one, but I always wanted one of those, and still may get one someday. I was thinking of converting my shotgun, but it would probably be almost the same cost to just buy one.

The Kel-Tec sells for $650. I consider that practically a give-a-way. A base model Browning Citori goes for $1800 or so (An over-under and not tactical.) A McMillan Tactical will set you back maybe $3000. So the Kel-Tec is quite the deal.

I'm not one bit surprised. It's a hot item. They are going to end up in the situation in which many gun kaers find themselves at the moment: production sold out for 1 to 3 years.

By the way, December set a record for total monthly FBI checks for weapons sales. Millions were sold in November and December.

it's nice and all, but i'm more of a rifle person. i'm waiting for my wilson combat 300 blackout upper to come in. if i was buying a new 12gauge i'd probably lean more towards a saiga 12. sure its only 8 round mags but it's clip fed, faster reload plus it'd be easier to carry clips than loose 12 gauge round and it's in an AK platform. (arsenal arms makes a variation called the SGL 12)

+1 - I understand the need to protect one's self, but this is overkill - certain weapons should not be sold to public.icon_rolleyes.gif
