Country life compared to city life

I think after spending too much time at WVU, I got so used to the country life, I'm starting to hate the city life. I live near DC and I cant stand going there sometimes because of all the traffic and crowd. I grew up in the city life all my life (born and raised in NY and Northern VA). I just cant stand traffic and the huge crowds you have to deal with everywhere you go. I'd rather just relax at a house in the middle of nowhere near a lake, go fishing, hang out at bonfires with friends and cruise around in a Jeep Wrangler. I really love small towns and I'm starting to visit small towns near me as a weekend excursion. My favorite part of Beeltejuice is when they show the small town in the film (which is really East Corinth, VT), that is the type of town I would love to live in ;)

Anyone else sick of their surrounding and want to move into a different environment? Or is it just me? Strange, small town people would do anything to move to a city and sometimes city people want to escape to a country environment.

    Love my country life.

There's nothing more beautiful than walking outside and seeing a clear, breath-taking sky - glimmering with stars, scattered out across the backdrop of our existence.

It *does* suck to get stuck behind tractors though.

I spend about half of my year at my ranch in BC and love it. But the small town I'm close to is narrow-minded and mean - with honorable exceptions. Still, by then end of a month or three there, I'm very happy to be in a city. The suburbs are the place NOT to be - for me it's city or country, and a happy balance of both.

Anyone care to come split and pile some firewood? Re-dig some irrigation ditches? icon_smile.gif

I live in a smaller city in Pennsylvania. My dream however is to move to a big city like NYC. I just feel alive whenever I'm there.
