I am 24 years old male, and I am trying to put on some pounds for the new year. I am 6 ft tall, and weigh 120 pounds. When I was born my large intestines and 1/2 of my small intestines were removed due to complications. I have been 120 lbs for as long as I can remember. No matter what I eat, I feel like I can never gain. As part of my new eating habits, I am trying to consume at least 5000 calories a day - so far I am on day 8 - with no results yet (but it's only been a week). Any suggestions for any other people who have had their large intestine removed? I also go the the gym 3 times a week - which has toned me, but has not aided in putting on any mass. I get about half go my calories from whey powder (about 1200 a serving), as there is no way I can consume 5000 calories any other way. Thanks!
