Ok, so show errbody where you live and what is great about it.

    Here is mine.

Technically I live across the river from DC in a city called Arlington. It is a well to do city made up of mostly young professionals and military members (my bf is active duty). It's a great place for young folks and a place to raise a family though I don't see too many families around. We live literally on the border of DC yet for 2011 there were no recorded murders. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. icon_biggrin.gif

What I like best about living in the DC area is that it is one of the most liberal regions in the country. The city itself is over 90% democrat. Same-sex marriage is legal and so is abortion and medical marijuana use. DC is also home to the most educated population in the country and richest. (Though I'm certainly not rich) Being the capital there is also no short of people from around the country and world making there home here. The gay scene isn't too bad also. It's a decent size but this being DC, it's very, very politically influential on local politics. DC is also home to one of the last "super clubs". The club, called Town, is a huge warehouse style night spot ala Roxy,Splash or Nations (which was torn down in 07) Here are some pics I took of DC...

True. DC's winter is something I could do without. But DC at least has four seasons so winter is already on it's way out. This season wasn't so bad though. It snowed yesterday for a few minutes for the first time all year, and today it's bright and sunny!!! And those pics i took myself this past summer.
