    This is what I worry the most about for this next election--SCOTUS could be drastically changed and it already leans conservative.

    For better or worse there is no "original intention." Ron Chernow's "Washington: A Life" gives an introductory insight on how the Founders and the writers of the Constitution could not agree on how to interpert it.

    Washington chaired the Consitutional Convention and Madison has taken the credit for writing it and they disagreed so much and it became so bitter that by the end of his life Washington was not even talking to Madison (and Jefferson).
