I'm starting to figure out that as I get older, I get sappier. It's really weird...and I don't necessarily mean to do it intently...it just happens. Like, the last movie I watched...I think it was "Tangled," you know, the new Rapunzel movie. Well, haha...icon_redface.gif.....when Rapunzel sat down near her prince, wondering if her prince was alive or not, she started crying and it kind of made me cry. After the movie was over, one of my brothers were cracking up, and I cracked up too.

Has this happened to anyone though? Like tonight, I listened to a song, and it was sung so well that the tear ducts almost started flowing. I dunno...maybe I'm just weird, but I find that as I get older, it doesn't take too much for me to cry anymore.

Christ. Your twenty-two. By the time you read your forties you'll be a jar of puddin'.

No, the opposite. As I become truly older (you're 22???) I find the tears no longer come. I've seen it all, done it all, been through it all, and the tears stop, as though they come from a well that eventually runs dry.

Or perhaps your heart becomes toughened, almost bulletproof, and nothing gets through to trigger those tears. As the character "Toddy" (Robert Preston) says in the movie Victor/Victoria to Julie Andrews:

God, there have been times I'd have given my soul to cry like that.

I find that your personality definitely changes as you grow older. I know this is absurdly obvious to everyone, but when it's happening to you, it's astonishing.
