I found I had a propensity to be able to learn insturments:

    1. Flute
    2. Oboe
    3. Piccolo
    4. Bassoon
    5. E-flat Clarninet
    6. Tenor Saxaphone

It's been a long time, but I learned how to play:
    Trumpet
    Trombone
    Tuba
    Bassoon
    and a little clarinet

Now the only musical thing I do is choral singing. Yes, I am definitely a bass...

LOL, thinking of the evolution of where I started to where I ended up, I dropped down and started pounding away at the bottom icon_twisted.gif

Play piano by ear. Could play guitar by ear if my fingers were smaller. Don't like the horns. Drums are awesome! What's the gay/music connection in our brains? Any theories out there?

Percussion, Tuba/Sousaphone/Baritone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Mellophone, Bassoon....and Choral which made me drop band in HS since i got sucked into several of the class options because they had no decent guys in them.

I am completely shocked that 2 of the guys on here that posted played Bassoon. I was the only one in my school for almost 4 yrs of band.

Viola - for about 5 years. I'll never get good, but I do get better - and it's a lot of fun.

Flute/Piccolo & Cello. I also played some other instruments, but those two were the ones I was best at especially the Flute since I wanted to go to school for Flute performance.

I own a trumpet, a tenor sax, and a bass guitar. The tenor sax is by far my favorite.

I play the bassoon...it is more of a hobby now. It was kind of a pain lugging that huge thing on the bus when I was 10, but now that I'm 6'2'' it isn't such a battle to carry around.

I noiticed in high school that it's so rare to see a Bassoon anywhere! I remember in Regional band that there was only one Bassoon player & I was in the biggest band region in Arizona. It's such a strange, yet beautiful instrument! Also hella expensive!

In Spanish, bassoon is "fagot"...sooo that made my Spanish class experience a little awkward when we had to describe ourselves and what we did in front of the class every year.

I kind of learned the cello and can poke around on the piano but my true musical calling is the recorder.
