"Iowa’s workers’ compensation commissioner today filed a lawsuit against the state, alleging defamation, harassment, sexual discrimination and extortion after Gov. Terry Branstad cut his pay by almost $36,000 last year."

“For those people that are going to be bullied by this governor or by someone else, I can lead by example and say, ‘It’s OK to stand up to someone, even someone as strong as the governor of the state of Iowa,’” Godfrey said. “I can stand up to that bully, and it’s going to be OK.”

Ugh this "bullying" thing has gone too far. Now, everytime someone does something you don't like it's bullying. It's just the new buzzword of the moment...

This isn't anti-gay bullying. It's standard political spoils: he didn't resign when asked by the new administration so he had his pay cut. Odd on his part; typically partisans move on when a new administration comes enters into office.

There is a lot of bullying that goes on in this world and when someone makes a claim like this of something that isn't really bullying, it makes people take the real instances less seriously. The word 'bullying' is on its way to becoming meaningless, much like the word 'troll' in online forums.

This "man" is leading by example, but not in the way he thinks.
