So summer is officially here! What are you planning to do for your summer vacation? With gas prices sky high, even the local radio station is promoting the "staycation" -- the stay-at-home-vacation. So my question is, where will the RJs be this summer?

    My pick: P-Town July 4th Week! Your's?

Heehee, now we know what you are gonna do this summer! icon_razz.gif

Unfortunately, I have university work practice throughout July and some of August. icon_sad.gif But maybe for my birthday (7th September) we might go abroad on holiday! icon_razz.gif

    What is university work practice?

I will stay home...stay dedicated to my workout sessions ...and work on the pile of unread books I have accumulated.

My new job's vacation allotment is really generous...by the 4th year I'll have 4 weeks vacation...but nothing kicks in until I've been there 6 months, which is October 1, so no summer vacation for me this year.

    Now, Christmas week.....

Well it's winter down here in Oz. So we await our next summer. But we have just had our shortest day, so the days will soon start to get longer and warmer.

I also not long got back from the US of A. So I got some extra warm weather in this year. But it's looking as if we are going to have a bumper snow seasion this winter.

I wish I could say that I'm doing something exciting, like backpacking through Europe or meeting Leprechauns in Ireland. But alas, the only backpack I'll be wearing will be the one for school and the only short person I'll be seeing is myself as I step infront of the mirror every morning.

The last two years have been murder as far as my finances go. This summer I'm trying to fix the damage and get things back together (so far, so good). There's also way too much I have to do to get things ready for the fall semester.

I might take a trip here and there, but within the state. Might head up to Orlando sometime soon. Possibly head down to the Keys. Still unsure.

I didn't have a summer trip planned but decided last week to do San Diego Pride with some friends July 17-22. I'm looking forward to it... always heard great things about San Diego.

I just heard about Provincetown on the radio for recently having a significant increase of sightings of public sex in the dunes. I don't know anything about Provincetown. Someone tell me about it!

For my engineering course, to graduate we need to have some working experience. The idiots decided to schedule this working practice in the middle of summer! icon_sad.gif

Well, this weekend I'm going to Shawnee, OK with my dad. Not sure, but may end up at the lake for the weekend of the 4th. Now that I'm not working 2 jobs I hope to have some fun this summer.

San Diego is loads of fun. Maybe I'll see you at the festival!

5 of my friends and I are renting an RV and will be heading up along the California coast, camping as we go. I'm stoked.

I'm glad YOU know what I did this summer, because I didn't until recently. haha I finally (just an hour ago) decided to read the Persepolis books and watch the movie. (If you're into graphic novels, you'll understand why OR if you're a teacher, you can maybe appreciate why OR I'm just a nerd and have run out of justification...) I'll probably run less than I'd like to, but I will do something resembling activity. I'm thinking about going to Chicago for MarketDays in early August. I'm doing some other school-related stuff in late July... Interesting stuff, I know but I didn't start this thread. icon_twisted.gif
