I joined the navy and im currently living in groton connecticut and i dont know anyone or anything about the area. From what i have seen so far its really small here. I wanna find a gay friendly area like coffee shops and clubs in the area. Does anyone who lives in this area know where i can go?

Ive already searched google but id prefer to hear from people in the area or from the area.

    Hello there icon_smile.gif

First off; I'm new here and didn't really know where to introduce myself. I don't really need an introduction anyway!

I'm from New London, myself, and there really isn't much anymore. We were famous for Franks Place for over 2 decades, but sadly, there are now closed along with Heroes Lounge. I think I was told the owner(s) got ill and the family sold the place for song and dance, and its now a coffee shoppe (I've not been it since)

The only Gay bar I'm aware of is just O'Neill's Brass Rail; but there website is down for some reason. They are a nice place to meet people.

I know that was just bars, but there is a small LGBT community here if you look hard enough, but as the above poster wrote - You will have better luck if you either travel to New Haven, or head over to Providence RI.

Anyway, good luck on your search and welcome to the area icon_smile.gif
