Thinking of biting the bullet and switching to 24 Hour from Bally. Does this sound like a good deal to you?

So I been with bally since summer 2008 before they made all the changes. When I signed up, I paid $5 upfront and then it was $33 and some change per month for all locations thereafter.

But now, apparently there's a cheaper rate on the market for like 25 and some change, but it's $5 more if you do a auto-debit which I won't do because I don't like companies automatically deducting money from my account every month.

Bally wants me to cancel this membership, start new by paying $75 and then get the slightly cheaper rate. I just found out 24 hour is doing a similar plan for new members.

I'm just like shit, if I do that I might as well switch over.to 24 hour which is also closer to me. Not to mention every gay guy in the country goes to 24 hour. There's not a single guy I know who goes to the gym and doesn't say, "I go to 24 hour". They all do.

So, for personal reasons I'm thinking of switching over. I don't plan to make it a secondary meeting place, but it'll be nice if someone sees me at the gym sometime and then emails me online and says, "hey sexy, I seen you at the gym the other day, wanna go on a date?"

Meanwhile...Bally in my area is 80% fine ass hell straight Mexican guys with tattoos, the rest are older White guys married prob with kids. It's like, what the fuck am I doing here? This is not helping my dating situation going to this club. It doesn't need to be a place to meet someone, but I would like to atleast have the option and possibility of another person seeing me out.

Only thing holding me back is I don't wanna pay all those initiation fees. 1st month, last month and probably a card activation fee on top of it.

Go to Costco and buy the prepaid 2-year membership. It comes out to ~$20 a month. No contract, no initiation or hidden fees. After 2 years, you can walk away or buy another prepaid card. Plus, you get access to all the Sport locations in the US.

Sounds good for the long haul, but that's like $480 though...

I kind of want to hold off on paying large sums of money for things at this point. Last year, I could hardly do any shopping for myself because whenever a lump sum of money came in, I had to spend on dental bills totalling $1,800 over a period of several months.

And last Saturday, I seen this bitch laying on the sidewalk with a chipped tooth because she got so drunk and fell down. I almost wanted to be mad for her. Do you know how much that fucking costs???
