Right.... They caused 30 years of deregulation and financial hijinx in the few months they controlled Congress before the economy went kablooey! icon_rolleyes.gif

OPAnd it is this Republican intransigence—from the 2009 declaration by Rush Limbaugh that he wants Obama “to fail” to the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s admission that his primary objective is denying Obama a second term—that has been truly responsible for the deadlock.

So now 48 months is a "few months" ?

We go "kablooey" every seven to eight years or so whether we need it or not. And who (not you I don't think) was it the other day who claimed that the deregulation started under Carter?

We'll pray that while 'out to lunch' you'll sit down to a computer and "DO THE GOOGLE" search for facts that will certainly challenge your far right ideology.

Be sure to get back to us with what you've learned.

    Pure right-wing revisionist bullshit.

Nine out of the last ten recessions have hit while there was a REPUB in the White House.
And every Repub president who's been elected for more than a HUNDRED YEARS has had at least one recession hit on his watch.
By contrast there have been four Democratic presidents in the last fifty years who had ZERO recessions hit while they were in office.
    THAT IS NO COINCIDENCE

    Actions cause consequences.
And Repub economic policies cause consequences: recessions job losses and massive debt accumulation.

In fact Repub presidents have added TRILLIONS more to the National Debt than Dem presidents have!

    The historical record is clear.
Repub presidencies and recessions go hand in hand.

And the economy and the stock market have historically done vastly better WHEN THERE IS A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

The right wing blogosphere went NUTS the first day this article came out. That board turned into a Klan rally for a while after it was taken over that first night. The ugly, vile racism and homophobia that poured out in the first few hours has been mercifully expunged. To this day they’re still raging over Sullivan’s article. All their vituperative posts raise a bigger question: If Andrew Sullivan is such liar and phony, why bother with him at all? If they’re so certain that he's wrong and not relevant, why waste their time ranting about him and the Obamas? The answer is very simple. They know he's right and that scares the crap out of them. All their hate and anger is based in fear. Fear and the sinking realization that they belong to a dying party of old, white dinosaurs on the verge of extinction. An Obama second term would be the final nail in the coffin of the GOP as it exists in this configuration. The coalition of right wing evangelicals, big business and the Tea Party cannot EVER win a presidential election again and they know it. They have purged their party of any semi-sane moderates who might have been acceptable to the general electorate and now all they’re left with are raging lunatics, corrupt has-beens and their nominee-elect -- an empty suit. After this election, their center will not hold. Hell, it’s going to take them years to even figure out what their center even is. So goodbye GOP, as you exist today. It was lousy knowing you.

    Yup.

Megyn Kelly of Fox "News" had a hissy fit on the air ranting and raving about how shocking it is that Newsweek would publish an article by someone who isn't a "legitimate journalist".
    LMFAO!

Fox has HOURS AND HOURS of programming hosted by folks like Sean Hannity and O'Reilly who spew out their OPINIONS and pure right-wing propaganda - and she thinks that she and her Fox cohorts can criticize ANYONE else about giving a platform to folks who aren't "legitimate journalists"?

What a hypocritical two-faced spin jockey for the Repub party!

    And again thank you.

But no I didn't do quite as much in the way of drugs as most of my friends. I did MJ for mostly concerts, but true, I saw a bunch of concerts. And I was a big Timothy Leary fan, but I preferred it natural so shrooms was the acid of choice. What was your drug of choice?

Anyway, gotta jet. Off to the gym for a while so keep the chair warm for me and the hate flowing. I want to be boobaliscous when I'm born again. I’ll pick it back up in a couple of hours. Don’t miss me too much.

    Love and smooches everyone.
