Don't you know the overwhelming might of an Internet petition in reaching our congress critters who've already largely made up their minds to voteaccording to the wishes of their constituentsin the manner to best fund their re-election campaign coffers?
Why would anyone be concerned about this? Regulation of the internet by the Federal government falls under the "Commerce Clause" - and government involvement is a GOOD thing - just look at how Obamacare and Dodd-Frank is benefitting millions of citizens already.
I'm a filmmaker and writer and I support the petition because it's the wrong way to go about it. And yes, I read the whole thing. No due process. Anyone can shut down this site due to links to images and articles. Links are how people find out about things.
Monster cable wants to shut down Craigslist because they don't like people reselling their ridiculously overprice cables, and they say they would shut down Craigslist and consider it a rogue site.
