I told someone I'm not going to the movies with him again because he fell asleep while watching 'The Devil Inside' the other night.

There was an important part in the movie which was ultimately missed.

Do you care? Or you more concerned with watching the movie yourself?

why should you care if someone else cheats themselves out of a movie? Even if you paid for the ticket on a date, some movies are just snooze fests!!

I tend to fall asleep in movie theatres. It has nothing to do with lack of sleep, poor company, movie quality etc. I just fall asleep. Maybe he is the same?

Maybe you can find a better movie partner, but I don't think this should be a big deal.

I really don't like people who sleeps during a movie, but heck they are free to do whatever they want. So even if I don't like it, I just tell myself to enjoy the movie.

I'm terrified of that day coming, when I can't keep my eyes open in a movie theater because it means only one thing.............I've gotten OLD !

On a sidenote I totally wouldn't give a shit what my cinema going companion was up to, if they wanna miss the film, well it's their loss, i'm usually too engrossed to give two shits.

Equally, I hate when I'm watching something mediocre, if I look away from the screen for a few seconds and someone taps me on the shoulder/shouts at me
'your missing the best parts !'.

Mind your own business mofo !

what if it was the other way around, and ask yourself if the other person is not pissed because you dont take a nap and share the same moment,"sleeping"
i know is not the ideal thing to do at the movies but some people just cant help to fall sleep, my sis does, and some other family members, icon_rolleyes.gif

Unless he starts asking questions because of what he missed I don't care. If he asks questions though it irritates me too much. Maybe he was tired though. That is a mitigating circumstance. Try taking him to a matine before you give up completely.

    LOL me too.

Dark room - and if the chair is comfy..... I won't last all 2 hours haha. so I don't go to the movies a lot, cos it annoys me too that I'm missing parts of it.

    Depends on the movie.
Generally like to see movies alone. I like being social when I'm with people when I'm with them.
    Exception are IMAX experiences.

Some movies just are not very good. The same goes for any product or service from attorneys to shoe shine boys............some are good, some are fairly good, and some are no good. Everybody and his dog thinks they can make a good movie and that is just not the case. Before I fell asleep in a bad flick though, I hope I'd have the good sense to get up and leave. We all have to do a better job of choosing what films we're going to see, and not waste our time (and money) seeing flops.

Meh! His loss. As long as he doesn't ask me questions like "So what happened?" then I could care less.

It doesn't necessarily mean you're old. Some times a lack of sleep catches up after running full speed for an extended amount of time and then suddenly you're in a quiet room, lights off and a constant 'roar' that creates the perfect conditions for rest.

Perhaps the $15 is a good price for sound sleep for some.

lets see: its dark, the movie was crap, maybe he wasn't into it, maybe he worked a long day, maybe he's got food in his belly. i've dozed off for a few minutes too. doesn't mean he's old. if he's snoring, gurgling or his head's lolling around, maybe you can be nice put his head on your shoulder and let him take a snooze on you. he'd probably love it. no stress. just chill out and enjoy the moment. later on you can ask him to let u snooze on him. ;)

The Devil Inside is art? You could probably sleep through any part of the movie and still not miss anything "important."

Shawnathan saidBetter than being a talker!!!!

Not if he snores. A snorer would be much worse.

As long as people don't talk in the cinema (a massive pet peeve of mine) then I don't care if they watch it or fall asleep.

The thing is, I rarely go to the movie theater. The only time I go to the movies is if it is a movie I am VERY interested in seeing and that I know will be good. So I never fall asleep at the theater. Renting DVDs at home, though.............

If it's a random stranger who falls asleep, I couldn't care less. If it is friends/family, not really, unless it is a movie I love and really, really want them to watch it.

I saw Happy New Year with my boyfriend and he fell asleep. It was a bad movie so he didn't have to suffer like I did. If it was a good movie then I would have been fine.

You are always bitching about something.

End of the world if a guys' car isn't fucking spotless, or if he dozes off in what was, an incredibly awful movie.

well he started snoring which initially caught me. Then I had to re-tell the part he missed. And then I paid for the movie as well which I didn't like. Do that with your money, not mine.

But yeah, he was like 49 so I guess I could forgive him.

How the hell could I fall asleep at a movie theatre.........NEVER..........

Now, on the other hand, why didn't you use your masculine wiles to coerce him to wake up............icon_wink.gif
