    Out of the awful holocaust,
Out of the whirlwind and the flood,
Out of old creeds to Bedlam tossed,
Shall rise a new earth washed in blood -
A new race filled with spirit power,
This is the world’s stupendous hour.

    This is from a poem: The Hours;

The will of the Ruling Spirit
    Is moving and ruling still.
In the clutch of the blood-red terror
That holds the world in its might,
The Race is learning its error
And will find its way to the light.
The clouds are rolling away,/ And Spirit will talk with Spirit/ In the swift approaching day.
War from the world shall be driven,/ From evil shall come forth good; /And men shall make ready for
    Heaven Through living in Brotherhood.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox composed these during the end of WWI.

Her others poetry is also similarly of apocalyptic nature. I wondered if our Reaper had his inspirations from her, but with less rhyme.

There's another poet, George McDonald. He wrote pretty fantastical poems as well. Kind of like Rime of the Ancient Mariner, but on testosterone. Look at his picture on Wikipedia, a bit unsettling.

I think the Reaper was inspired by Margaret White from Carrie.

That movie is one of the few that truly terrifies me.

Sorry, but who are you referring to when you say "our Reaper"?

For the past year or so, a banned member, his name is Stuart, posts unsettling, apocalyptic messages about his brotherhood and videos with grotesque acts like slaughter or death with eerily modified sound. When he posted under his real name, he probably took drugs, but he had long posts about forgiveness form his mother and the Holy Ghost. He was HIV+ and probably was schizophrenic. Then, he began to call himself HarvestReaper or ReaptheHarvest or some variation of that. Lately, he has been using members' names by replacing lower case L with uppercase i and then sends mail and posts messages under those fraudulent names. He is renowned for creating tens of messages about the same subject within minutes.

His posts are usually to this effect:

We await the coming of the dawn of perfection. The reaping hour shall soon be at hand. Beneath the harvest moon shall the unwashed be judged, their flesh a reflection of its blood red light. this godless world shall be made pure before it is thrown into darkness. the light will come upon us, and we will know perfection.

To answer your question, no, it does not look familar.
