Really inexperienced and need some advice. So I met this great guy and we texted for a few weeks and last weekend we finally went on a date and back to his place where we spent the entire afternoon in bed. I had a great time and I thought he did too. The next day I sent him a flirty text and got a response back that felt a bit noncommittal and I’ve not contacted him since. While we had both stated we weren’t looking for a serious relationship, I would like to see him again and/or maybe turn this into a friends with benefits situation. If he’s not interested, that’s cool. Still, for whatever it’s worth, I am tempted to try one more time to engage him. Thoughts?

If this is what you hear, then it's time to move on.

    Wait, was that you?

I think the guy might want to see you again, but maybe not every weekend.

My advice to you is try to get out of that hookup/friends wb stage and try to seek out men who have an open mind to a relationship. Hookups to me are a waste of time. It feels so much better to actually share feelings with someone.

The trouble with text ... sometimes we miss read what a person conveys. If you did in this case, he might be wondering why you never responded, feeling uncomfortable, or thinking you're the one not interested. Maybe a call or initiate another date. See what happens and don't dwell on the previous message. What's to lose?
