Do you believe in it or do you think it doesn't really happen in real life?

I think sometimes people reach a point in their relationship, and look back on that first encounter and remember feeling something different/special for the person they love. I think love at first sight is a little bit more of lust at first sight than love.

I believe all aspects of Love. I've had love at first sight; thought it was a hopeless puppy dog crush back in Middle School. I'm still puzzled as to why my heart chooses to long for guys I barely knew and cared little for me, unless it was at their convenience... Nevertheless, I'm still hopeful for love in my life. I deserve it. The man I should come to love will deserve it too.

Something along those lines, yes. I was chatting with this one guy I met from OkCupid for a few months just before I graduated from college. We chatted online constantly and eventually moved to the phone. I was already interested in meeting him after graduation and moving back to my hometown. We had our first date a few weeks after my graduation, and when he kissed me TWICE after our date, I knew right then and there I was going to fall for him. Surely enough I did and he fell for me too!

I feel that there is such a thing that you feel in your gut...and it's more than just "yeah, he's cute, hot, cool" and whatnot.

I have felt an incredible magnetism to a guy before where he felt the same way and that I would call "love at first site."

Hahaha Nope! Like how would that even work? Does this mean you see Mr.Perfect and hear wedding bells, hear someone say "perfect" or like something magical happen. I always thought "Love at first sight" is like "Lust at first sight" like when that one walks by and you point at can only think "Mine!"

I believe that ''love at first sight'' (or ''coup de foudre'' in French, which means ''Lightening strike'') is the awaited answer to all our problems.
It is the ultimate gift from God that shall wither our worries, move our senses and broaden our horizons.

Only referring to Horace, for me ''love at first sight'' is a ''Deus Ex Machina'' (from Latin ''God which falls from the sky''): it is a divine lightening strike which not only strikes, but will diminish what ever strife is left in us, and will relinquish our dilemmas and useless deliberations. It shall release us from pain. It will bring our old memories back to life. It will bring us happiness.

If it does fall from the sky, we'd be hitting the jackpot. Just be extra nice with God (or what ever there is up there responsible of sending us lightenings) and you might increase your chances! Hehehe

I think it's lust/infatuation/fascination/attraction. Actual love takes longer.

EDIT: But it *can* be the opening of the door for it to happen quickly.

My thoughts too. Attraction can happen at first sight, just don't call it love.

I guess I'll just share my experience on the matter. I had random chat with a guy online once. It ended up being a 6hr interlude on life, literature, philosophy, and everything else. We agreed to meet for the first time the next day. And when I saw him, he took my breath away. We had our first kiss that evening, and the next day he texted and called, and things only got even better, and I only thought he grew more handsome. Fast-forward, and under the 4th of July fireworks, I told him I loved him. And when I think about it, I probably knew it from the first moment I saw him. Anyway, that was a while ago, and we're not together anymore, but we still love each other, I think.

If Kylie sings it, it must be true.

In reality, it's more like lust at first sight or attraction at first sight. There's no way you can be in love with someone if you haven't at least talked to him.
