Not all athletic people have ripped bodies. In fact most don't.

It seems like the only people who use "VGL" are those who aren't that good-looking, or attractive in a very bland, conventional way.

Whether it's true for the guy or not, that term just smacks of arrogance.

You mean kind of like how you list yourself as defined when you're really just skinny?

You haven't been missing anything. 95% of the time it's uttered by guys who aren't worthy of the distinction.

I've described myself as VGL before. I'm pretty sure it's because you've heard people describe you that way for most of your life (even though you had nothing to do with it, it was your mom and dad's genes). But I think some people choose to describe themselves that way on their own, without any outside confirmation which is not good, just delusional. Also, if people hit on you all the time you probably fit the VGL category. But being a real VGL is not all that great because people in real life are also intimidated to even speak to you for fear of rejection and then you develop a fear of rejection because they won't approach you. By the way, I'm proud of you in your choice not to play god and out someone against their will. You would have probably reaped that action, badly, in the future. Good for you.

I feel like if you have to call yourself "very good looking" then you likely aren't. I realize modesty is pretty much out the window around here, but if someone says it to you- take the compliment. There is no need in my mind to go around telling others how you may view yourself- when each person's standards can obviously be very unique.

    just my two cents
