To answer your question -- NO -- Newt will not beat Romney. His campaign will be going down in flames in a matter of a month. As for who wins the Presidency -- this will depend on many factors, not the least of which what is happening with the economy and around the world come November. One thing is for certain, and that is that Obama will not have a cake-walk to a 2nd term, but no one is probably willing to bet against him either.

Anybody other than me think Romney did pretty good at hitting Gingrich hard about his record as Speaker and about his lobby work for Fanny or Freddy Mac. ? I hope Romney keeps it up !! There's no way Gingrich is going to get around that kind of record in a national election.

I liked that Romney was hitting hard, and it was very telling how Gingrich just acted as if he is above answering any allegations about his character. Regardless, there was something very undignified about them both going at each other. I thought they both looked desperate. The first 20 minutes of the debate were darn right cringe-inducing

It was rather undignified, but so is a person who has little enough sense to put himself up for a presidential run with a history like Gingrich's. If he wasn't so narsistic he'd have known better than to place himself where the light can shine on his sordid past. But he has such a high opinion of himself that he's 'unembarassable' by his own hypocrisy, not a good characteristic for a Presidential Candidate

These facts needed to come out and Gingrich asks for it, its a blight on American Politics that the Republicans ever allowed him to rise back up to prominence in this race, we can in part blame FOX biased NEWS who likes to ignore facts in favor of the Ideology they seek to forward through the likes of Gingrich as one of their favorite Contributors.

I agree. Unfortunately, Gingrich needs to be exposed even more than he has been, because him getting the nomination is not going to help anyone -- but Obama.

as Mr. Gringrich's numbers go up, so do Pres. Obama's. or so the market indicates. (i'm not sure if the market can actually predict the eventual president, but apparently there's some basis in statistical validity?)
