docmarvy saidMost of the guys I know who have aversions to Asian men... ARE Asian men.
So noodle on that one a bit.
Very true. I'm not denying that at all.
Then again, most of the Asians people you are referring to are those who are more exposed to the western culture. Asians who have grown up in westernized areas, immigrants, and naturalized citizens in western countries.
Asians who can barely speak English or who had never liked watching foreign TV or books are much more homogeneous in their attraction.
Note that you are only seeing a very small percentage of the Asian gay men population - those that interact outside of their cultures. The Asian fascination with the Caucasian culture is not even limited to gay men. It extends out to most everybody, men and women, touched by western ideals.
So okay, no anthropological/sociological bullshit, what else would then be the reason?
And to clarify orthojock's erm... accusation, yes I am attracted to Asian men. It depends on a person to person basis, but most of the Asians I've met do not attract me. Either for language barriers, different mindsets, or simply the wrong physical 'triggers' (whatever you call them, the things that appeal to you physically - I am attracted to bigger/stocky men, body hair, and the caucasian nose structure). It means that it's more likely that I wouldn't feel a 'spark' with another Asian than I would with other races.
Why does this always come up and everyone starts pointing fingers at everybody else that it's racist. *sigh*
