What I am saying is that if it does happen then we are not going to allow it to manufacture here," Shortey tells KRMG's Nicole Burgin.

To that end, his proposed statute reads, "No person or entity shall manufacture or knowingly sell food or any other product intended for human consumption which contains aborted human fetuses in the ingredients or which used aborted human fetuses in the research or development of any of the ingredients."

OK, so it was worded differently. icon_biggrin.gif

But what an artificially made distinction it is. Let's say the stem cells were derived from cord blood of a live born baby. Would that not be counted under this law?

And HEK cells are routinely used in research for 30 years. To trace all the food-related research that have come from them would be impossible.

    I read this:

Since the bill was introduced late last week by State Sen. Ralph Shortey, a Republican from Oklahoma City

And quit reading.. yeah those pesky Repubs are doing wonders for the 'economy and jobs' aren't they? That quality time legislating.. uh huh!

    ROTFLMAO
