Particularly ironic considering Christian and the sources he pulls from.

Prove that the video is false then instead of tearing down people.

The stats may well be accurate but without any context they are meaningless. It falls under the heading of "lies, damned lies and statistics." icon_cool.gif

So humorous. When you can't dispute all the measures indicating the disaster that is this administration, fall back on the old "it's taken out of context". Hope Obama tries that same excuse in debates.

Any statistic that doesn't include the downward trend that happened BEFORE he hit office is, truthfully, taken out of context. To deny that the recession/depression was very much existant before he hit office and that the numbers were in a very steep downward trend is twisting the facts. Also, to suggest that Mr. Obama should've had some sort of magical, god-like powers and have been able to not only stop this downward curve but reverse it the second he stepped into office is completely ludicrous.

They have nothing else except that context excuse. Their whole point is this: If only the 1% weren't so greedy and paid more taxes then everything would be magically better for everyone. But that 1% being wealthy just makes the system rigged so no one can get ahead.

If you were to question if in most of the measures was the rate of deterioration reduced under Obama, then you could make some point. I don't think that was the case, however. It it were, or there were some other relevant factors, we will see if there is any response, but wouldn't hold my breath waiting. But regardless, if you take Obama's own words about there not being an improvement in 3 years, then it's a one term proposition, and that I agree with.

It's the NYT, so I know you are going to try and discredit it off of that, but I think it's difficult to discredit Tim Krugman when it comes to economics (I like him, but maybe that's just me).

    http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/03/obama-romney-jobs/

No one is gonna say that things have been great under Obama, but graphs do show an economy that was in a free-fall that has been, although slowly, improving.

Let's not lose sight of Obama' s own request how he be judged. He said he had 3 years to "fix this". We can look at the numbers per the video and ask how he should be judged in that regard. Is the economy fixed? We don't need curves, their first and second derivative functions to answer the question. It's a resounding "No".

First off, it's PAUL Krugman. As for whether or not it's difficult to discredit him, no it's really not.

    Let's start with this reference:
    http://www.themoneyillusion.com/?p=12704

But then let's look to the New York Times Ombudsman himself when he acknolwdges:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/22/weekinreview/22okrent.html

Op-Ed columnist Paul Krugman has the disturbing habit of shaping, slicing and selectively citing numbers in a fashion that pleases his acolytes but leaves him open to substantive assaults.

But far be it for anyone to question Paul Krugman. icon_rolleyes.gif (Incidentally, Milton Friedman also won the Nobel Prize for Economics for issues that he actually wrote about popularly versus Paul Krugman's win on trade economics that many on the right actually tout and wholeheartedly agree with.)

Bringing the economy back from the verge of complete collapse is "fixing" it. Is it where we want it? No. But that's on the Republicans who have engaged in unprecedented obstructionism.

Oh, "on the verge of collapse" huh? It was just a recession which Obama, Pelosi and Reid turned into a Depression. Such drama from the left!

How so? Cite specific legislation and outcomes of said legislation.

Otherwise you're just repeating whatever talking points Rush was saying today.
