An article Titled "WHAT SHELDON's MONEY BUYS" - Adelson Millions Ensure Gingrich Steers to Far Right on Israel. This from THE JEWISH DAILY FORWARD

A few weeks ago Sheldon Adelson gave $5 million to Gingrich's Super Pac and now his wife Miriam has committed another $5 Million.

"It is safe to say that without multi billionair Adeson's (a dual Israeli National) help the chances of Gingrich becoming the Republican nominee for president would be Zero - and consequently the race itself, going into Florida t the moment, would not be the competitive, drag-out fight is has become, Adelson...has kept Gingrich alive."

"One of Adelsons passions - and a reason for his desire to play such a big role in American politics - is undoubtedly Israel, and his positions are unambiguously right -wing and hawkish to the extreme." (the article goes into detail about his extreme views but is to long to repeat, its a good read) "In short, Adeson does not believe in the Two State Solution, as he told the Jewish Week last year, "the two state solution is a stepping stone for the destruction of Israel and the Jewish peolple"

"What does it mean to have someone with these views have such an outsized influence on a candidate in the race he is in? Well, for Gingrich it seems this has translated into him tripping over himself to prove his pro Israel Bona Fides."

"Can one man's predilctions and attitudes - his worldview - have an effect on an entire election? If he's willing to spend enough money, the answer is, apparently, yes."

Is this what we want for our American Politics to be sold to the highest bidder?

I have to wonder if our Republican friends here still support the Citizens United ruling that made such gifts possible under SUPER PAC's. How can this be good for our country when it opens the door for influence toward another country's interests rather than ours.
