I have at least a hundred that I could post, but I'll be nice unless someone jogs my memory, which you just did with Lou Reed. So ...... we can't forget this one from 1966

There aren't too many advantages to being really really old, but this is one of them

At our 2nd to last high school reunion a bunch of us were counting how many friends we lost to overdoses. I think it was like 9 or 12 of us. Tough to keep that shit in mind. Those were amazing days but some of us didn't make it through.

In a few weeks I've got five of us getting together in Florida for a week or two from as far as California. Five old fucks cruising around Sarasota Bay in one of our friend's bay boats, drinking beer and blaring the classics. Life man. What a long strange trip it's been...

Meanwhile I see we've yet to post a Beatles so here's to them

And though I see you've already posted a Baez, I'll see your Baez and raise you a Karen Carpenter...

Thanks. I didn't want to be a complete post whore as I generally am when a topic like this comes up. Norwegian Wood was coming up.

Tell you what. I’ll raise you a very old, very rarely heard Fleetwood Mac, but one of my top ten all time most loved songs and then probably my most treasured Simon and Garfunkel

You have to get into this one a couple of minutes (min 2:12) before one figures what I'm talking about. Wonderful on shrooms .... the visions (hallucinations) I would see.

And this guy was just insane live ... way more than his recordings. Thank heaven I saw him live a couple of times. Truly a madman.

Too many to choose from... here's an excerpt from their legendary Live Aid performance in 1985. Freddie was a god among men. Greatest front man ever.

^^ Credo... The Chain is by far my favorite Fleetwood Mac song - even though there are so many great ones from them.
